Check the box contents before buying and budget about $8 to $12 for a certified DisplayPort 1.2 or better cable. Then confirm the refresh rate in Windows display settings after connecting.
Is a 1ms response time claim on a $90 monitor real?
It is a best-case figure, usually a single grey-to-grey transition at the most aggressive overdrive setting, or an MPRT number measured with backlight strobing active. Real average transitions across the full grey range on budget panels tend to land several times higher, and pushing overdrive to reach that headline number usually introduces overshoot, the bright halo trailing moving objects. Treat 1ms as marketing shorthand for a fast panel, not a measurement you will reproduce.
